ABC Preschool and Pine Japanese Language Afterschool

Introduction: Pine UMC is proud to own and operate two school programs on the church grounds:
ABC Preschool (ages 3-5) and the Pine Japanese Language Afterschool (school age children - 6 and older).
Both schools are academic programs. Lessons are taught in Japanese and English. The preschool curriculum
strives to enhance their reading and writing skills, and prepares them for Kindergarten. Both schools
also focus on the Japanese culture, exposing the children to traditional Japanese holidays and celebrating
them throughout the school year.
Schedule: Full time at the ABC Preschool is 9:00am-2:30pm, part-time is 9:00am-12:30pm. The Japanese Language
Afterschool operates from 3:30pm-5:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There is a SFUSD school bus
which leaves from JBBP West Elementary School and drops children off one-half block away from Pine
Afterschool. Extended program for the ABC Preschool is from 2:30pm-5:30pm.
Costs: The 2007-2008 tuition for the ABC Preschool is:
Part-Time: $390 per month, Full-time: $600 per month.
Cost for extended care is $8.00 per hour. The tuition costs 2008/2009 will increase by 5%.
Registration: There is currently a waiting list for both schools. If you would like to enroll your
child into either school we would encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to visit and possibly place
your name on the waiting list. There is a $75 application fee.
